Naturopathic medicine is a distinct primary health care system that combines modern science, research and clinical/physical/laboratory diagnostics with traditional practices and ancient natural wisdom. It stems from a dynamic philosophy--a wellness paradigm--which recognizes and celebrates the interconnection and interdependence of all living things.

It is defined by 6 principles: First Do No Harm; The Healing Power of Nature; Identify and Treat the Underlying Cause; Doctor as Teacher; Treat the Whole Person; and Prevention as Cure. Therefore, by definition, it strives to use the least invasive/toxic, most natural therapies to treat dis-ease, restore balance and harmony by respecting the body-mind-spirit and innate human ability to heal and promote life-long wellness for the whole-being.

Naturopathic treatment consists of honouring the person and these principles using natural therapies including but not limited to: acupuncture, botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, drainage & detoxification, environmental medicine, homeopathic medicine, hydrotherapy, photobiomodulation therapy, physical medicine, and lifestyle counselling.

Dr. Tiberio's focus is to align these principles and modalities to serve your best health through her Wellness Mission: Educate, Inspire, Empower!

Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture is a 3000+ year old practice based on ancient wisdom as well as modern-day research and science to diagnose, treat and prevent disease. It honours the universal vital force energy, or "Qi", present in all things and aims to restore balance of "yin and yang" via the flow of Qi through the body's meridians, organs and other channels to promote overall physical, emotional and spiritual wellness. Any blockage to the flow of Qi --for example, via poor nutrition, external pathogen (ie. virus) or internal deficiencies--can block the proper flow of vitality in the body, on all levels, and lead to disharmony and disease.

Trained in Classical and Traditional Chinese Medicine, with a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) and Naturopathic Doctor Certified in Acupuncture, Dr. Tiberio uses all areas of her training to support your unique wellness needs, addressing the underlying cause, educating, supporting the body-mind-spirit and the innate healing power of nature to help your restore health, balance and optimal wellness.

Chinese Medicine treatments include but are not limited to: acupuncture and acupressure, herbal and nutritional medicine, qigong and meditation, moxibustion (heat), cupping (move lymph and release stagnation or pain), gua sha, tui na and exercise (massage/physical movement), and other therapies.

Recent popular and effective treatments also include Comprehensive Facial Acupuncture for Rejuvenation or Neuromuscular Health (i.e. Bell's palsy, etc). These treatments create gentle "microtrauma" to local tissue assisting the body to naturally create collagen and thus restore a youthful appearance, healing skin conditions and other chronic conditions; and providing a non-invasive alternative or enhancement to Botox, injections and fillers.

Community Acupuncture is also an effective and powerful treatment conducted in a relaxing group setting. Combining ancient acupuncture traditions in a community healing environment, it offers regular cost-effective treatments for your optimal health -- ask about "Community Acupuncture Membership" options before booking this session.
